Operating at the SEMC site, the Organization for Literacy in Lambton offered the Skill and Drill Program to children in grades one to seven throughout the school year. With funding from Kid Krazy fund the Guildford Foundation, 27 different children received assistance with math and reading.
Volunteers have a huge impact on the Skill and Drill program. They provide one-on-one assistance to the children and help to build their confidence in reading and math.
Program co-ordinators are pleased to report that the goals of the program were met and that children “moderately” or “significantly” improved their math and reading skills.
Thank you for your support of this program at the SEMC!
