SEMC Reflections: ORPHAN/FOSTER CARE

Will you help us capture some of the highlights from our SEMC family over the years?
In this post we’re recognizing the effect of the Orphan/Foster Care Ministry:
What started as a focus on the issue of Orphan Care on a global perspective has shifted over time. At the SEMC we have witnessed families embracing adoption and foster care, over these years. Additionally, we have also seen many families enter into child sponsorship relationships through various Global organizations.
Annually, we also provide bins of essential goods for students aging out of Foster Care. This helps support the efforts of Children’s Aid and St. Clair Child and Youth.
How has participating in these efforts encouraged your faith in Jesus?
We also have been donating these “bins” full of essential items for students aging out of foster care. How do we feel about being part of a community of people who are addressing these kind of needs?
To share your experiences you can email the church office: sarniaemc@cogeco.net, or speak directly to Pastor Deve or Michela Kita.
