SEMC Prayer Requests
Colossians 2:6-8
  • Our El Salvador Mission Team is getting ready for their trip (April 6 to 14). Pray for God to prepare them to serve as reflection of the love of Christ, and to be prepared to receive that which God has for them.
  • The EMCC Regional Gathering is upcoming, April 19-20. Please be in prayer for our denominational family as we meet to encourage one another and further be equipped to serve others according God’s mission.
  • We give thanks for all who served during our Upward Basketball! Continue to talk to Jesus on behalf of the students and their families. May the message and evidence of the Good News of Jesus bring encouragement and challenge in the days to come.
  • March 10, marked the beginning of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting. Click here for an excellent resource to equip you to pray for God to reveal himself to our Muslim friends and neighbours.
  • All around us there are people who need the peaceful presence and hope filled perspective of Jesus in their lives. Talk to Jesus about being aware of those people along your everyday routines. Bless them, encourage them and point them to Jesus,
  • For our Youth:  at IMPACT (Gr. 6-12): Please talk to Jesus about a deepening sense of desire to understand what it means to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Pray for our students in their day in and day out interactions at school and in their activities. May God demonstrate his truth and grace through their lives.
  • Would you, in your conversations with Jesus, talk to him about deepening the hunger for His truth? May we grow in our desire to spend time in His word daily and to be ready to demonstrate His love to others.
  • For our leaders: We are reminded to give thanks for the those who serve  in leadership positions: for our SEMC and denomination leadership, for our elected officials at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.  May we also be those who contribute to the peace and flourishing of our community.
  • For our city: From the recognition of a growing population of homelessness to the reported increase in drug overdose cases, the needs of our community continue to grow.  May the Lord lead us to participate with our community in the sustainable solutions that will help address these needs.
  • Let’s pray for one another. We must continue to be pro-active in caring for one another, our friends and neighbours as well as ourselves. May we do our part in helping, protecting and enhancing the well-being of others, while being mindful of how we can serve those in need with the grace and truth of Jesus.  (SPRinG)
  • We give thanks for the opportunity to serve the needs of local agencies. Let’s continue to ask God to lead us to the places where His resources can be best used for His Kingdom work in our community.
